CICA CARE Cream for Very Dry Hands moisturizes and protects against dryness. It acts as a barrier, shielding your hands from environmental factors such as cold, wind, dry air, and detergents.
It noticeably increases the softness and elasticity of the skin on your hands, restores their natural, healthy appearance, and improves their condition. It nourishes, strengthens, and provides a long-lasting feeling of comfort.
Its effectiveness stems from a combination of active ingredients selected to moisturize, soothe, and support the skin’s hydrolipid barrier.
- Ceramides—make up approximately 50% of the lipids in the intercellular cement of the stratum corneum. In atopic and eczema-prone skin, their concentration is reduced, which leads to impaired integrity of the epidermal barrier and, consequently, excessive transepidermal water loss (TEWL), the penetration of fine dust and allergens, and a tendency toward irritation. Skincare with a ceramide cream helps improve the condition of the epidermal hydrolipid layer.
- Ectoine—in nature, it is produced by extremophiles, microorganisms that live in extreme conditions (e.g., in desert brines, hot springs, and glaciers). It provides them with hydration and protection against environmental stress. The ectoine we use in our cosmetics is obtained through a biotechnological fermentation process. It ensures optimal skin hydration and prevents the skin from becoming dry again.
- Centella asiatica (CICA, Asian pennywort) and madecassoside—provide immediate relief to dry, irritated skin on the hands.
- Allantoin—reduces itching, tightness, and tension, and has a soothing effect.
- Vitamin E – noticeably improves the softness and elasticity of the skin on the hands.
The skin on the hands, which is frequently washed and exposed to detergents and mechanical stress, is particularly prone to imbalances in the hydrolipid barrier; therefore, it is especially important to care for it with a good hand cream for dry hands.
Directions: Apply to hands several times throughout the day.
